Merry Blogmass

We had quite a bit of fun the other night, gallivanting around town in a convoy of vehicles, doing some guerrilla Christmas Carolling to unsuspecting friends and family. Note to prospective Carollers for next year; some unwitting recipients of the Carols may be watching "Cops" on TV, and react with....ahem...."surprise" at the sight of 15 people with tambourines and light sticks encroaching upon their property. Ron O'Neill was treated for buckshot wounds to the legs and torso...right Ron?? Oh, good times :)

So, I've also made some significant changes to the website. I have put our media clips into two categories, "Pure Blues" and "Rocking Blues". Also, a lot of people have been asking me about the correct method for leaving a message on the Blog. Here are the instructions:

1) Click on "0 comments" at the bottom of any post. (or 1 or 2 comments as the case may be)
2) On the right-hand side, under "Leave your comment", type anything you wish
3) Below that box, under "choose your identity", select "anonymous"
4) Below that, click "publish your comment".

That's it!

From everyone in the band, all the best over the holidays and the New Year. And see you in Woodvillle!

Watt's wrong with me??

Okay, so inevitably at every show, somebody mentions the fact that I look as subdued as Charlie Watts when I drum. I was getting a little concerned about this perceived lack of interest, until I realized that my drum stool is actually an anaesthesiologist's chair. For real. I ain't kidding. Just some Bloodline trivia for you there.

The evidence....

Okay, this post is for all of you City employees who attended the Xmas party last Saturday night. I've made a special little page up for you guys with some photos here. Don't worry, I've not put up anything incriminating :)

For some other random shots from the night, see the bottom of this page. And that's right....Elvis was in the building....

Xmas Cheer

Played a cool show last night for the City of Kawartha Lakes staff for their annual Christmas Party. Thanks again to Debbie and Heather for setting us up. I'll have some pictures of Darren "Elvis" Bailey to post later on (unless he wrestles them out of my hands first.....)

For anyone looking for tickets to our New Year's Show, tickets are available at either Stuart Morrison Insurance or McKague’s Foodland, both in Woodville, for $25. You can also purchase them from any Lion's Club member.

Until then,

Homeless Awareness Week

As part of Homeless Awareness Week, East Side Mario’s is sponsoring a Dinner & Auction in support of A Place Called Home, which is Lindsay's Homeless Shelter. The event is called "Help Vinnie Help the Homeless" Awareness Dinner, and the date is set for Jan 17th 2007. We have been invited to play this venue, and we couldn't be more thrilled. All of us in the band are eager to assist those in need within our community, and because Darren and I both work with unemployed citizens of the City of Kawartha Lakes, we know first-hand about the hard work and dedication of the staff at A Place Called Home.

Tickets are available at East Side Mario’s, Lindsay Chamber of Commerce or at A Place Called Home .

The cost is $50.00 per person with a $25.00 Charitable Receipt. (table of 8 for $375.00) Reception - 6:00 p.m. Dinner - 6:30 p.m.
As Christmas approaches, let's not forget about the true meaning of the season, and those less fortunate than ourselves.
